Hospital hosts fundraiser for Nancy Reagan Breast Center
Multifaceted event will be held at Moorpark Country Club

Women are invited to attend the "Hats Off to Women" conference, luncheon and fashion show from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the Moorpark Country Club, 11800 Championship Drive, Moorpark.

The event is a fundraiser produced by the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation to raise money for digital mammography technology for the Nancy Reagan Breast Center.

The benefit will feature hospital chaplain Ron Hyrchuk and keynote speaker Mary Marcdante who will share motivational and inspirational thoughts on issues of concern for today's woman.

Marcdante has given more than 1,500 speeches and has authored the books "My Mother, My Friend" and "Living With Enthusiasm."

She has attended graduate studies in psychology and art therapy and personal development seminars with leading experts in the human potential field.

"Our emphasis this year is the special relationship we have with other women- our mothers, daughters, sisters, girlfriends and so forth," said Donna Wick, foundation executive director. "We wear so many hats in our roles as mother, wife, employee, chauffeur, housekeeper and the like, so this is a day to do something just for ourselves."
