Popular Ojai Concert Series kicks off with honky-tonk band

The Ojai Concert Series will present J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters on Wednesday, March 21 and Fur and Steve on Wednesday, April 4 at the Ojai Valley Woman's Club, 441 E. Ojai Ave.

Shows start at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 for will-call and 6:45 for ticket buyers. Seating is firstcome, first-served.

J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters is a honky-tonk band that has toured with Hank Williams III and opened shows for Wayne "The Train" Hancock, Dale Watson and Lee Rocker.

Tickets are $14 in advance or $16 at the door. Children under 14 are half price.

Fur & Steve perform folk music. Their latest CD, "The Pearl and the Swine," was voted one of KCSN's favorites of 2006. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Children under 14 are admitted at half price.

Child care is available, by prearrangement, for $5 per child.
