Sign up early for Gator Run, get a pin to remember the occasion

Rotary Club of Simi Sunset will give away a free commemorative pin to early registrants for the 2007 inaugural Gator Run 5K/10K Run/Walk scheduled for Sunday, May 27 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park in Simi Valley.

Prize money of $100, $75 and $50 will go to first, second and third place overall for males and females in both the 5K and the 10K. Awards will go to the top three finishers in each of 13 age group categories.

Registration is $25 for either event until May 10. Late registration is $30 after May 10. Entry fees include bib number, T-shirt, one free ticket to the Cajun Creole Music Festival, door prizes and refreshments.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise 18th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival.

Proceeds from the Gator Run will benefit the Ventura County Fire Department's Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund.
