Sponsorships still available for Kiwanis celebrity golf tournament

Simi Valley Kiwanis Club will present the Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament on May 4 at the Moorpark Country Club.

Sponsorships are still available, and player registration is open. The club is providing packages and opportunities for sponsors and advertisers.

The event will include golfing with celebrities, box lunch, putting contest, the tournament, contests, "holeinone" opportunities, dinner, awards, live and silent auctions, and drawing prizes.

Actors scheduled to appear include Michael Dudikoff ("American Ninja," "Soldier Boys"); Gil Gerard ("Nightingales," "Sidekicks"); Phil Morris ("Love Boat," "Star Trek III"); Casey Sander ("Grace Under Fire," "Predator II"); and Adrian Zmed ("Grease," "Chicago").

Other celebrities are Bruce Kanegai, "Survivor: Panama" contestant; Dr. Sammy Lee, Olympic gold medalist; and Bruce Sievers, former Green Beret, author and speaker.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the health and wellness organizations of Simi Valley through the Simi Valley Community Foundation.
