The Royal Drama Players present the musical comedy "42nd Street" at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room, Royal High School, 1402 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.
Show dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24.
The play is based on the 1933 movie musical of the same name. It's the story of a naive young actress, Peggy Sawyer, who auditions for the new Julian Marsh extravaganza set to open on Broadway starring aging leading lady Dorothy Brock.
A classic backstage story, the show is a "delightful 'thirties romp' that the entire family will enjoy," according to producers.
The show has such songs as "We're In The Money," "Shuffle Off To Buffalo," "Lullaby of Broadway" and "42nd Street."
Reserved seating is $12, general admission $10, students with ASB $8, and seniors and children under 12 are $6. Tickets will be available at the door, and the box office opens one hour before show time. Refreshments will be available
The play is directed by Joy Enright, with musical direction by Jerry Ursetti, choreography by Jennifer Christman and technical direction by Jerry Enright.
