It was in poor taste to publish letter criticizing boy's family

I thought publishing the letter regarding Daniel Crane's death was in very poor taste.

There is no perfect parent or perfect child.

I am sure the parents carry enough guilt without Monday morning quarterbacks piling it on. Yes, he was in violation of the Vehicle Code, but he did not deserve to die for it.

As for his turnaround being a myth or a bill of goods, William Tewksbury does not even know the family, much less the victim's heart.

I am not defending Daniel or his actions. But as a local community paper, sometimes things are better left unsaid. Dwight Crosley Simi Valley
