City looking for residents to sit on advisory board

The city of Simi Valley is now accepting applications to fill three public at-large positions on the Tree Advisory Board.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and residents of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed to serve until 2009.

Board members serve in an advisory capacity to the council on citywide tree matters pertaining to the planting, pruning, health and care of trees in the urban environment. Meetings are typically held late in the afternoon on the first Wednesday of the month.

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m. For additional information, please contact city landscape architect Jerry Clark at 583-6393.
