Regal Center the site of a second armed robbery
      A woman was robbed in the parking lot of the Regal Center Plaza at 9:53 p.m. March 1. Kelsey McLeod, 26, of Simi Valley was walking to her parked vehicle when she was approached from behind by someone carrying a handgun and demanding her purse. The victim did not resist.

City looking for residents to sit on advisory board
      The city of Simi Valley is now accepting applications to fill three public at-large positions on the Tree Advisory Board. Applicants must be 18 years or older and residents of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed to serve until 2009.

Don't forget to 'spring' forward this Sunday
      Daylightsaving time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 11. The time change previously began on the first Sunday in April, but has been moved forward. According to the federal government, daylight-saving time saves energy and provides more sunlight for leisure activities at night.

Grand jury seeking new members
