Youth baseball league turns 21

Grace Brethren Youth Sports baseball will celebrate its 21st year beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Grace Brethren Elementary School, 1717 Arcane Street, Simi Valley.

Kevin Malone, former Los Angeles Dodger general manager, will be the key note speaker, and he plans on bringing a couple of major league baseball players to meet the children.

There will be a small carnival atmosphere with a live band and a few vendor booths, "Old Time Baseball" photo booth and barbecue tri-tip sandwiches for sale.

Opening ceremonies and the carnival are free to the public, and all proceeds from the sale of sandwiches will support Grace Brethren Youth Sports' nonprofit league.
