Applications now available for CERT training

The city of Simi Valley Office of Emergency services is now taking applications for the next Community Emergency Response Team training program. Anyone 18 years or older who lives or works in Simi Valley is encouraged to apply. There is no cost for the program.

Classes will run for six weeks from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 28May 2 in the Simi Valley Police Department building.

The program is taught by the Ventura County Fire Department in conjunction with the Office of Emergency Services.

CERT applications are available at the Simi Valley Police Department and online at the city website at www.simivalley.org.

Completed applications can be mailed or delivered to Theresa Adams, CERT program Coordinator, City of Simi Valley Office of Emergency Services, 3901 Alamo St., Simi Valley, CA 93063.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until Friday, March 23.
