Paint Horse Club to host awards banquet

The Greater Los Angeles Paint Horse Club will host its annual awards banquet 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Stray Steer Restaurant, 4351 Valley Fair St., Simi Valley.

The 2006 expanded Paint Promotion Program provided members who show their paint horses on the open show circuit an opportunity to receive some outstanding awards for their efforts.

Three members came home from the World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas with world titles. Some of these horses were bred and raised in Simi Valley. The owners will be receiving silver belt buckles, embroidered blankets and other prizes.

The club will be hosting several events this year including a charity trail ride, a large paint horse show in August and a twoday open horse show in September at the Gateway Equestrian Center in Simi Valley.
