Virtues taught at family resource center

Virtues Story Time will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday., Feb. 17 at the Simi Valley Berylwood Family Resource Center 2300 Heywood St. The class is free.

Through this First Five Program, children ages 2 to 6 are exposed to such attributes as patience, gratitude, sharing and kindness.

Once a month, children come to learn about a virtue. They hear a story, discuss the premise, participate in an activity illustrating the virtue and make a craft to take home. Parents are encouraged to practice the "month's virtue" with their child.

The Virtues Story Time class is made possible though the commitment of volunteers from the Baha'is community in Simi Valley.

To reserve a spot in the program, call the Family Resource Center at (805) 582-1214 or Baha'is of Simi Valley at (805) 520-0443
