Soroptomists to meet at Mavericks next Thursday

Soroptomist International is forming a chapter in Simi Valley. The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 at Mavericks Seafood and Steakhouse, 5225 Cochran St., Simi Valley.

The cost is $10 for hors d'oeuvres, drink, tax and tip.

Soroptomist is composed of business and professional women who give volunteer service to their communities.

Club projects range from supporting domestic violence shelters to providing mammograms for lowincome women and providing scholarships for young women.
