Rotary will host first-ever 'Gator Run'

The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset will launch the inaugural Gator Run 5K/10K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 27 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park.

This event will be in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise 18th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival.

Proceeds from the run will benefit the Ventura County Fire Department's Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund.

The race is open to the public, including pro runners, aspiring athletes, families and young children. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.

Foot Pursuit Run Shop in Simi Valley will provide prize money to the top three male and female overall race winners.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for community corporations, businesses and organizations.
