Travel, adventure show coming to Long Beach The Los Angeles Times Travel and Adventure Show will be at the Long Beach Convention Center Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11. The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Exhibitors, attractions and seminars will provide attendees with the information they need to plan their next vacation. Attractions include a scubapool, kayak demonstrations, golf swing analysis and cultural performances on the Global Beat Stage. Seminars will be presented on both days. Guidebook author Pauline Frommer will speak about travel deals, and Rick Steves of the PBS travel series will address the topic of "Budget European Travel Skills." Huell Howser, producer and host of "California's Gold" on PBS will present "California Journeys." Other seminar topics will include Internet travel, digital photography and travel writing. National Geographic Adventure will feature seminars from some of its awardwinning journalists, including John Haslett, Colin Angus and Julie Wafaei.
