Pizzeria sending letters to the troops

San's Pizzeria invites the public to come and sign Valentine's Day cards and/or write letters to the troops overseas on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Restaurant employees will also be taking pictures of people signing the cards and include the pictures in the packages they send.

Employee Marie Garside is the mother of an Army sergeant who was deployed last year. She explained how much a card or letter means to the men and women overseas.

"Our troops celebrate many holidays far from home," Garside said. "Please join us in sending them our respect this Valentine's Day." San's Pizzeria is in the food court of the Simi Valley Town Center next to Macy's Men's, off the 118 Freeway at the Erringer exit.
