Genealogical society to meet

The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County will host a meeting, co-sponsored with Temple Adat Elohim, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 at the temple, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The topic will be "How to begin your genealogy research."

Attendees will learn how to fill gaps in the family tree, how to research newspapers and about Yizkor books.

There is no charge to attend the meeting. Anyone may join the society. Annual dues are $25 for an individual and $30 for a family.
