Last chance for Christmas tree pickup is tomorrow

Saturday, Jan. 6 is the last day for Simi Valley residents with curbside trash service to have their Christmas trees picked up for recycling.

Trees must be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on the resident's trash collection day.

Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center at 2801

Madera Road will continue to accept residents' Christmas trees for recycling at no charge through Saturday, Jan. 13 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Flocked trees and trees treated with fire retardants will be collected as trash as they cannot be recycled.
