The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon to honor outgoing board chairman Daryl Kleintob and welcome Dick Erbe, 2007 board chairman, at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at the Grand Vista Hotel.

This event will also feature many newsmakers including Business of the Year, McDonald's on Tapo Canyon Road; Business Person of the Year, Deb Holler; and installation of officers and directors.

The Strathearn Lifetime Achievement Award and a special Legacy Award to Alcoa Fastening Systems/Alcoa Foundation for many donations to the Simi Valley will be presented.Cost for the luncheon is $35 per person.

Women's network installs new officers

The Women's Information Network of Simi Valley recently installed its officers for 2007. To

celebrate, the group invited renowned magician Ivan Amodei from Hollywood's famous Magic Castle to perform.

Plaques were presented to past president Karen Troop, Jan Sandstrom and Debi Aquino as Women of the Year.

The group's first meeting of the New Year will be on Wednesday, Jan. 24. "Storm'n Norman" Norman Beebe will speak on "How men think and why they do the things they do."
