Why build another lane of freeway if it is only going to cause more traffic problems?

When I drive to school every morning I take the 118 eastbound, and every time I am on the freeway it is always congested because of the construction.

The thing of it is, I am on the freeway so long that by the time I get to the Sycamore Avenue offramp it is like a parking lot.

This gets me thinking, why are they building this multimillion-dollar freeway extension that is going to take several years to build and that causes traffic congestion in the time during construction?

It would be best for the city of Simi Valley to notify their residents about the construction so that they know what to prepare for.

It would also be best for the construction workers to work at night instead of during the morning and afternoon, to make it easier traffic-wise.

Hopefully this investment that the city of Simi Valley has invested in is worthwhile. Scott Freeman Simi Valley
