The Santa Paula Theater Center will present "A Dickens Radio Christmas" from Nov. 16 through Dec. 23 at the Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 S. 7th St.

Performances are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The show is a recreation of a live broadcast of Charles Dickens' holiday tale "Cricket on the Hearth." Set in 1944 New York at WEAF Radio, the production features live sound effects, original commercials and comedy as a rag-tag team of amateurs tries to present a live radio show.

Written and directed by Fred Helsel, this production features an original adaptation of "Cricket on the Hearth" by Lowell Manfull and Helsel.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $12 for children 12 and under.
