2007-10-12 / Family
Girl Scouts of Monterey Bay and Girl Scouts of Tres Condados have united to establish Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast.
The newly formed council will serve girls throughout the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, San Benito, Monterey and Santa Cruz.
The merger took effect Oct. 1 and is part of a nationwide restructuring of the Girl Scout organization.
Girl Scouts USA has developed the realignment plan to provide a more consistent Girl Scout experience for all members.
