Simi Valley Little League welcomes a new president, Tom Tenney, and a new board of directors for the 2007-08 season.

The board is a mix of veteran board members and newly elected members.

"We (the board of directors) are excited to begin a new era for Simi Valley Little League" said Dan Hammond, board member.

Simi Valley Little League has divisions for ages 5 to 18. The challenger division enables boys and girls with special needs to play.

The divisions are junior/senior (ages 13 to 16), farm/minor/major (ages 7 to 12), tee-ball/coach pitch (ages 5 to 7) and challenger (ages 5 to 18).

Fall season begins Sept. 8. Fall registration sign-ups will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 11 and 18 at Knolls Park, 1300 S. Katherine Road, Simi Valley.
