The Ventura County Fire Department will conduct a community meeting to discuss the Ventura County Wildfire Action Plan at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

The campaign encourages citizens to make their plans now to either evacuate early or take an active role in defending their homes when threatened by wildfires.

The action plan was distributed to residents on July 13 and is available on the web at www.fire.countyofventura.org.

At the meeting, fire officials will provide information on the plan and answer questions.
