Families flock to Simi fireworks display

PYROTECHNICS- John and Barbara Fisher, above, of Simi Valley,  watch  the  37th  annual  Rotary Club  of Simi Valley Fireworks Spectacular at Santa Susana Community Park on Wednesday. The free festivities began at 3 p.m. and featured music, food, Polynesian dancers, karate demonstrations, and the Simi Valley Police Department Crash Trailer, culminating with a fantastic display of fireworks. At right, Michael Garrison and Dashawn Arnold lie back on the grass to enjoy the finale. "It's gnarly!" Arnold exclaimed as the sky lit up.
