Anteaters embraced by city, nation at College World Series
Cipriano, Lowenstein and Orloff helped UC Irvine become the darlings of Omaha
      From the banks of the Missouri River, separating Nebraska from Iowa, to the outskirts of Boys Town, located off a stretch of pavement known as Route 6, Omaha, Neb., quickly became the epicenter of Anteater Country.

Area baseball standouts honored
      The California Baseball Coaches Association named its 2007 AllAmateur Athletic Foundation teams recently, and many local athletes were recognized. Making the Division I first team was Thousand Oaks High pitcher Matt Bywater, Simi Valley outfielder Brett Hale and Newbury Park pitcher/first baseman Andrew Lambo.

Simi youth sports teams bringing home the hardware
     SUMMER BREEZE- The Simi Valley girls' U-10 Gold softball team won the Ventura Breeze Tournament at Ventura College. The Gold finished with a 4-1 record.
