Grace Brethren are top shoppers, again

Dyer coordinated the school's efforts in Town Center's second annual "Shopping for Students" program. For the second consecutive year Grace Brethren earned the most points among 20 local elementary schools via shopping at Town Center from Sept. 1 through April 30. The school claimed the top prize of $2,500, followed by Vista Fundamental School with $2,000, and Hollow Hills Fundamental School with $1,500. All told, Town Center donated more than $15,000 to local campuses in the program.

Simi chapter of AAUW names scholarship recipients
      The Simi Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women announces the 2007 scholarship winners. Samantha Corralejo received the $1,000 Kay Barker Scholarship. Corralejo is graduating from Royal High School and will attend Westmont College in Santa Barbara. She plans a career in special education.
