Chivas claims a golden grail

REACHING THEIR GOAL- The Chivas Simi Valley boys' U-14 team won the Cal South State Soccer Tournament, the largest state cup competition in the nation. The team's final game was played against FC Barcelona Blue, a Los Angeles-based team. Simi won 2-0. Chivas' bracket consisted of more than 100 teams. Team members are Moises Olvera, Daniel Virgen, Omar Gutierrez, Gerardo Hernandez, Dylan Trujillo, Luis Gutierrez, Carlos Garcia , Ivan Cabanas, Ivan  Zacarias,  Jose  Galindo,  Freddy  Sanchez,  Rodrigo Perez,  Erik  Cubias  and  Cristian Covarrubias. Walter Mego is the head coach, and Luis Garcia is the assistant coach.
