Different kind of dining experience coming to Simi
      The Magical Kitchen will open its doors at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at the Sycamore Plaza, 2792 Cochran St., Simi Valley. The day's events will include a Magical Tea Party, for a parent and child age 6 and up, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; cooking demonstrations by Chef Jet Tila from 6 to 8 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m.

Leadership Academy hosts 'power' lunch
Speaker will talk about improving negotiating skills
      Ventura County Leadership Academy will host a "Negotiating with Power" luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thurs day, April 26 at the Orchid Room, Local 1036 Building, 816 Camarillo Springs Road, Camarillo. Gina Rae Hendrickson of ACCORD Mediation Services will speak about the 10 sources of power and improving problem-solving and negotiating skills.
