Two-week investigation results in arrests of burglary suspects

Two burglary suspects and two men charged with other crimes were arrested Thursday, Jan. 25 in Simi Valley.

John Michel, 57, and Johnathan Morey, 37, were charged with burglary. Jeffrey Madelon, 31, was arrested on a charge of parole violation, and John Joehler, 30, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers from the Simi Valley Police Department's special enforcement section, detective unit and special weapons team, after a two-week investigation of the residents, served a search warrant at the home in the 1500 block of Third Street.

The residents were suspected of being involved in forgery, burglary, receiving stolen property and thefts of motor vehicles in Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Two stolen vehicles were recovered during the course of the investigation.

Officers seized suspected stolen property at the residence, including credit cards, guns and a motorcycle.
