First baby of New Year to receive special gifts

The family of the first baby born at Simi Valley Hospital in

2007 will receive a bassinet,

armoire, four-drawer chest and crib with a retail value of $3,000.

The furniture is donated by Cribs 2 Teens, a familyoperated business in Simi Valley.

The baby furniture set, which is manufactured by Pali of Italy, is currently on display at Cribs 2 Teens, 1125 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

“We have lived in Simi Valley since 1983, and two of our children were born at Simi Valley Hospital,” said Larry Phillips, owner and operator of Cribs 2 Teens. “We wanted to give the first new Simi Valley family in 2007 a complete nursery to get their year started in the right way.”

“This was a delightful surprise,” said Pam Andreasen, manager of the women’s and children’s unit. “We are very fortunate to have

friends at Cribs 2 Teens who want to give something back to the community . . . we thank Mr. Phillips for his donation.”
