Classes to be offered at area synagogue

Congregation B’nai Emet will offer two new adult education classes starting in January.

Rabbi Michele Paskow will teach “For The Love Of Yiddish: Yiddish Stories” (in translation) from 11 to 11:45 a.m. five Sundays starting Jan. 21.

On Mondays starting Jan. 22, school administrator Meridith Patera will offer a five-week class in Jewish identity and antiSemitism, “Who Are We And Why Do They Hate Us?”

Cost for each class is $50 for CBE members, $65 for nonmembers, half-price for high school and college students, and free for CBE employees.

All classes will be at Congregation B’nai Emet, 4645 Industrial St., Ste. 2-C, Simi Valley, and are subject to minimum enrollment.
