Heavy traffic expected on I-5 this weekend

Caltrans advises motorists planning to travel on the northbound Golden State Freeway, the I-5 between Valencia and “The Grapevine,” to plan ahead and leave early to avoid holidayrelated traffic delays this weekend. Heavy traffic is expected through New Year’s Day.

An ongoing land closure on I-5 at Templin Highway will continue throughout this time for slope stabilization repairs. Three northbound lanes and all four southbound lanes will remain open.
