Executives to lead business workshops

The Ventura County Chapter 255 of the Service Corps of Retired Executives is offering an instructional seminar consisting of six workshops aimed at teaching new entrepreneurs the basics of starting and managing a small business.

The workshops are co-sponsored by Oxnard College Division of Economic & Community Initiatives.

Each workshop is at the Oxnard College campus, 4000 S. Rose Ave. The workshops will be offered every other Saturday beginning Sept. 9 and continuing to Nov. 18. Each session is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

A wide variety of business topics will be addressed.

The complete series of six workshops is offered at a cost of $100, or $60 for students of the local college district. Individual workshops may be attended at a cost of $30 each. For additional information or reservations call (805) 986-5896.
