Signs of support for Supervisor Mikels

The signs are all around reminding us that the June primary is approaching. They remind me that I get another chance to support Judy Mikels to be our county supervisor.

Judy Mikels gives local residents a peace of mind because she astutely takes care of county government matters so we don't have to. Residents and families are too busy with everyday challenges to have time to worry about the county hospital, mental health services, animal control and all the unexciting yet absolutely necessary government services the county must provide.

Thousands of people depend on these services and Judy Mikels brings her fiscal expertise to the board of supervisors so they all get adequately funded, while at the same time vital services such as public safety remain well-funded top priorities.

Aside from all the county government work, Judy has always been very involved with the community, at various times lending her time and treasure to organizations like the Moorpark College Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club of both Simi Valley and Moorpark, local youth sports organizations, and many more.

We will keep seeing all the campaign signs in coming weeks, but only one matters. Judy Mikels indeed is there for us to fight for a safer and stronger Ventura County. Irmina Lumbad Simi Valley
