NBA greats to participate in golf tournament to benefit Special Olympics

The public is invited to participate in the Superstars for Special Olympics Golf Classic being held this year at Woodland Hills Country Club Mon., March 6.
The unique tournament benefits over 900 special athletes with mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down syndrome and autism.
The Superstars are the special athletes and retired NBA players such as Rick Barry, Moses Malone, Keith Erickson, Maurice Lucas, Don Ford, A.C. Green, Norm Nixon, Jamaal Wilkes, Lucius Allen and many others who will participate in a day of golf activities, giving the public a chance to play golf with any of the NBA stars.
Participation is $300 for individual play, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch on the course, all day golf, a gourmet banquet dinner and an awards ceremony.
There will be a live and silent auction beginning at 5 p.m. The awards ceremony will feature an extensive live and silent auction and merchandising opportunities from the retired NBA players.
If you’re not a golfer, you can attend the banquet for $75.
Sponsorship options are available starting at $250 for a tee sign featuring the business name.

Proceeds from the day’s events will be donated to TriValley Special Olympics and the L.A. Chapter of the Retired NBA Players Association.
