Police arrested a suspect for smuggling contraband at 3:40 a.m. Jan. 30 on Tapo Canyon at Alamo.

Between 3 p.m. Jan. 28 and 3 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 1700 block of Cochran Street, a stereo and 100 CDs were stolen. The total loss was $1,400.

At 5:50 a.m. Jan. 28 in the 2500 block of Royal Avenue, police arrested a motorist for a hit and run.

The loss was $900 when cash and a paned window were stolen between 10:15 and 11:40 a.m. Jan. 28 in the 700 block of Cochran Street.

Police arrested someone for embezzlement at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 2900 block of Cochran Street.

At 5:20 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 1600 block of Simi Town Center Way, a suspect was arrested for grand theft and embezzlement.

Armed robbers stole $300at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Arco food store in the 700 block of E. Los Angeles Avenue.

At 5 p.m. Jan. 27 in the 2900 block of Cochran Street, police arrested a thief.

The loss was $11,600 when jewelry was stolen between 4:20 and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 27 in the 4100 block of Adam Road.

Between 10 p.m. Jan. 26 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27 in the 2600 block of Elizondo, the loss was $1,285 when Vicodin, 120 CDs and other items were stolen.

The loss was $6,660 when power tools and other items were stolen between 7 p.m. Jan. 26 and 7 a.m. Jan. 27 in the 1400 block of Madera Road.

Police arrested a burglar at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 26 in the 1500 block of Simi Town Center Way.

At 11:10 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 2200 block of Tapo Street, police arrested a suspect for identity theft.

Someone was arrested for petty theft at 4 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 1800 block of Cochran Street.

The loss was $3,500 when a stereo and a steering column were stolen from a vehicle between 12:20 and 12:45 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 5100 block of E. Los Angeles Avenue.

Between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31, the following items were reported in the community: 10 incidents of possession of drugs or drug devices, five incidents of drunk driving, four incidents of possession of a deadly weapon and three incidents of drug intoxication.
