Plenty of senioevents coming in February

A variety of activities for seniors will be presented this month by Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, the city of Simi Valley and the Council on Aging.

All programs will be at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi.

“Romance on a Plate” is a cooking session on Sat., Feb. 11 led by Sharon Martins, a graduate of the Westlake Culinary Institute and master chef. The class will present foods appropriate for Valentine’s Day or other special occasions.

Debi Hoffman, reference and instruction librarian at Cal State Channel Islands, will host a Books and Movies class on Mon., Feb. 13. The first book will be “Chocolat,” followed by a screening of the movie.

Sharad Dandekar will lead free, twice-weekly evening yoga classes beginning Thurs., Feb. 16.
