Doctors offer seminaon easing stress

Dr. John Horton
Most medical experts agree that stress may be the No. 1 factor leading to poor health and premature aging.

Physicians Edd Hanzelik of Calabasas and John Horton of Westlake Village have been collaborating with Tim Gallwey, the best-selling author of the “Inner Game of Tennis,” to develop a unique set of stress-reduction skills.

On Sat., Feb. 4, Hanzelik, Horton and guest speaker Gallwey will host a one-day seminar titled “Inner Stability: The Solution to Chronic Stress” to help participants learn to access the personal resources needed to build inner stability. Inner stability helps the individual better handle life’s challenges without bringing about additional stress.

The workshop, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks, is structured like a university seminar in which the participants listen, question and learn. The workshop is neither a support group nor a therapy group. People are not asked to discuss their problems during the seminar.

To register, please call Sharon at (805) 557-0395. The cost is $75 and seating is limited. There will be a one-hour lunch break. Attendees can bring a bag lunch or eat at the Club Express Grill on site.

The workshop is at the Los Robles Greens Glen Kendall Ballroom, 2999 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.
