Hamm won the weight class, but Royal took home the team title. SVHS finished third behind Thousand Oaks. Royal had a pair of individual champions, Sam Mestaz (112 pounds) and Kevin Dunn (125). In addition to Hamm, Simi Valley's Micky Murphy (140), Dan Stoner (160) and Matt Bruno (171) all won their respective weight classes. Seventeen teams competed in the event.
