Moorpark Civic Ballet presents three days of 'The Nutcracker'
The Moorpark Civic Ballet will present its 11th annual production of the family friendly holiday classic "The Nutcracker" at 7 p.m. today and Saturday, Dec. 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at the Moorpark High School Performing Arts Center, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road.
More than 100 dancers will fill the stage with colorful costumes and sets. The cast is composed of both amateurs and professionals.
Guest artists from other dance companies include Dan Bramlett from Phoenix, Ariz. as the Nut
cracker Prince, and Shannon Novak, owner-director of Star Struck Dance Academy of Kansas City, as the Candy Cane soloist.
Moorpark Civic Ballet is a nonprofit organization with goals of enhancing the community by providing the art of dance through both education and entertainment and providing quality cultural programs accessible to everyone.
