Adventist Health/Home Care Services of Simi Valley Hospital has been recognized by Outcome Concept Systems as a 2006 Top Tier HomeCare Elite agency, ranking in the top 25 percent among nearly 7,000 home health agencies in the United States.

OCS uses performance measures in quality and financial performance as a basis for the agency listing.

"The recognition demonstrates that the health care professionals at Simi Valley Hospital are making a real impact on its patients' health," said Susan Myers, director of Adventist Health/ Home Care Services, Simi Valley. "My staff are the best performers in their field, and

they set and maintain high standards for themselves. I'm very proud of their service to the community at large."

The hospital's home health staff is composed of 30 employees, including fulltime, parttime and per diem staffers.

In 2005, the team performed more than 11,000 visits to more than 700 residents of Simi Valley, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks.

OCS, an independent agency with more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, is the country's sole clearinghouse for reporting data from Medicare-certified agencies to JCAHO, state and federal government and other organizations.
