The city of Simi Valley is accepting applications for Neighborhood Council Executive Board members. Vacancies exist in each of the four boards.

Applicants must be 18 years old or older and residents of Simi Valley. Members serve for twoyear terms from March 1, 2007 to Feb. 28, 2009.

The councils meet on a monthly basis to review development projects and various issues of community concern within their respective boundaries and then advise the City Council.

Items reviewed include local property development, traffic, public safety and community issues. The councils are also involved with community volunteer events such as the Arroyo Simi Cleanup and Coastal Cleanup Day.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007.
