Questions Foy's affiliation with 'secret' organization
I read in a recent interview where Mr. Peter Foy admitted to being a member of a group called the "Council for National Policy." I am always interested to find out what these organizations are, as the reporting entity did not let us know and I had never heard of the organization. I was extremely surprised by my research on this organization.
All sources, including confirmation by the group itself, states that the group's by-laws restrict speeches and discussion or distribution of any materials from their gatherings to nonmembers. Also, they have made a clear policy that nobody outside of the membership should know when or where they meet or who takes part in their program.
A secret organization that does not want any of its discussions viewed by the general public concerns me greatly.
A review of their membership list that has leaked to the public does show Peter Foy, but also includes the following: Jack Abramoff, Tom Delay, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Jerry Falwell, among others.
These folks, apart from some of them being criminals, represent the farthest right reaches of our society. Raising a family and spending a great deal of my life in Simi Valley, I know this kind of group is way outside the mainstream views of this wonderful community.
Mr. Foy has apparently adopted the group's policy of secrecy when talking about who he is and what he believes in a public forum. In the absence of that public discussion and his membership in this extreme group, I will cast my vote for Jim Dantona for county supervisor on Nov. 7, because his moderate view on all issues does fit our community.
