Roy Langhammer, 38, of Simi Valley was arrested Oct. 5 for allegedly stealing his son's identity.

Simi Valley police received a crime report from the Mesa, Ariz. police department July 19 concerning an identity theft case.

Langhammer's 5-year-old son, Dakota Langhammer, who lives in Mesa, had received a notice in the mail from a collection agency regarding a delinquent account.

Felice Jones reported to Simi Valley police that a man identifying himself as Roy Langhammer had used her credit card account information to fraudulently purchase airline tickets to Arizona.

After investigation, a search warrant was issued for Roy Langhammer's residence. A small quantity of methamphetamine and eight computer systems were seized as well as other items believed related to identity theft.
