Applications are currently being accepted for positions on the Youth Employment Service Advisory Board which counsels the city council on matters pertaining to youth employment in the city, pro- motes the hiring of Simi Valley youth and assists youth in develop- ing an understanding of the needs and expectations of employers.

The service conducts an annual Job and Career Fair and interview skills workshops at local high schools.

Board positions need to be filled with representatives from Simi Val- ley Unified School District, local businesses, government agencies, high school students, as well as two alternates.

Positions are for a two-year term of office beginning Dec. 1. The board meets on the third Wednes- day of each month at 8 a.m. in the city hall community room, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.

The application deadline is Wednesday., Oct. 18.
