Simi Valley resident Malia Kim was recently inducted into the Scholastic Honor Society, the highest academic honor at California Lutheran University, during the school's opening convocation ceremonies.

Students qualify for the honor society by maintaining a grade point average of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.

Kim is an art major.
