A talented guitarist, songwriter and performer, folk musician Fisher brings a multitude of gifts to each performance. His song "The Jester King" is one of many progressively-minded songs currently being showcased on Neil Young's website at www. neilyoung.com/ lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html.
Fisher's song, "A Life in Music," was selected as a finalist in the folk category of the 2005 VH-1 Song of the Year Contest.
At the Simi Valley concert, Fisher will be singing many songs from his two acclaimed CDs, "Built Myself a Greenhouse" from 2005 and "Follow A Hunch" from 1996, both released on his own Imperative Records label.
Fisher has collaborated on songs with the late Timothy Leary and internationally-known neonarrative singer/songwriter Darryl Purpose.
"The songs I've written with Robert are all home runs," said Purpose. "I close my shows with them."
Fisher and Purpose have cowritten many songs, including "Mr. Schwinn," winner of no less than three major songwriting festivals and now a contemporary folk classic.
