Poet to speak at Simi library

Local writer Wayne Allen Levine will discuss his poetry on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. in the community room of the Simi Valley Library.
This hour of poetry is the second program of the Friends of the Library 2006 Sunday Series. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Levine had been a competitive gymnast and a successful businessman in the health sciences when he began writing as an occupation in 1980. He left his business and his hometown of Chicago to move to Southern California.
Levine published his first book of poetry, "Forgiveness for Forgotten Dreams," in 2003. His second book of poetry, "Myths and Artists," was published in August.
