'Voices from God' benefits South Central Los Angeles spiritual center

Lisbeth Scott and Dwight Trible will be the featured singers at the "Voices From God" concert to benefit Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center, at 8 p.m. Fri., Sept. 15 at the Madrid Theatre, 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park.

Scott, whose voice has been called "stunning, life-changing, and lushly emotional," is best known for singing the title song from the 2004 movie "The Passion of the Christ."

Scott, a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist, also is featured in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe."

Trible is a singer/musician/ storyteller. He combines the best of vocal virtuosity with musicianship and improvisational skills. Trible has worked with Harry Belafonte, Della Reese, Oscar Brown Jr. and Pharaoh Sanders.

Tickets to the concert are $22 and $33 and will benefit Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center, a spiritual center in south central Los Angeles dedicated to peace and nonviolence.
